The festival is set to return to Gothenburg’s Slottsskogen Park from August 10-12th, Blur, Yo la tengo, Sam Fender and more.
WOW is a three day festival in Gothenburg, Sweden. Named Way Out West because it’s as far west as you can get in the beauty of Nya Lödöse (An earlier city named Nya Lödöse developed in the late Middle Ages) Gothenburg it’s well connected if you get there by bus, train or plane. The WOW festival is set in a beautiful green park in the city center of Gothenburg and very easy to get there by all types of transportation it features a pretty good line-up for such limited capacity this year great names are already shining on the festival Poster and couple more to be soon, Blur, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Aurora, TOVE LO, BoyGenius, Wizkid, Christine and the Queens, and many more.
We love festivals, we love summers, we love travel, we love music and our favorite artists but wait, also part of the festivals is discover new things, new music, new places, new people and this is one of the best festival concepts in the Scandinavia scene, it is love to go north and discover something new, one great new thing about this is the festival ends at the forum but the festival takes you out to the city to continue the mood, This year’s venues are Pustervik, Nefertiti, Liseberg, Scandic Göteborg Central, Oceanen, Musikens Hus and Folkteatern, this is for people over 18+ years old, also be aware place might be full at some point of the night, but the WOW thing is all this is included in the festival ticket. Some of the venues lie within walking distance from Slottsskogen. Others are a tram- or bus ride away.

Viagra boys, The Swedish punks with three studio albums released their third material last year |Cave World| if you are Swedish you probably have them in your playlist, so this guys are a great Punks at the stage it’s a must to see them at WOW, so it is time to be sweaty and dance with the Sax sounds, Flute or the Drums set, with their magnificent gristle rock songs about experimental drugs and cretinous behavior, which makes them an unpredictable WOW must-see another band which is mandatory to be at, TV GIRL an Indie Pop melodic sound from San Diego to the world, Now based in L.A. and being influenced by the 60’s-70’s music sound with an electronic background and voices from the sky this will be awesome to see at the green WOW, not having new music but it is time go for those old hits from those four albums in the history, Now it’s time to change genre and move to the Psychedelic-Garage Rock of the Aussie Band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard have been so actives this 2022 and playing everywhere now it is the festival turn, having a variety of outfits, crazy light set, and cool sound, the time is coming and we will have to be in the middle of the crowd two reasons why, the vibes are really hyped and the sound it is more intense, releasing three albums in a month means one thing, the guys are taking it serious and being active and creative, this summer their time comes up and performing the biggest shows in their career it’s time to see the on the top of those LineUps.
Finally two Scandinavian singers and songwriters TOVE LO and AURORA we are not comparing anything, we just now will be cool being in front of their local audience and it’s a precious time to enjoy the connection between both artist-fans.
