If we have to recommend an European festival, the Open’er Festival in Gdynia, Poland it is a must for those who love to travel for a gig or a festival. And easily could be in our top 10 of best European festivals, after a pandemic forced break last year finally the Polish festival had a great Open’er return, and featured headliners The Killers, Dua Lipa (Weather reasons couldn’t perform) , Imagine Dragons and Twenty One Pilots a full weekend of vibes and emotions after a long lockdown. 2023 a new chapter in our festival lives, finally summer is coming back and open air festivals and concerts are around the corner in Europe, Arctic Monkeys were the first Artist to be announced as a headliner of the festival at the end of the last year some big names were following the Monkeys, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Nas X, Machine gun Kelly, One Republic, Queen of the stone age Warhaus, Anne-Marie, Los Bitchos and finally couple weeks ago they did the final announcement SZA is the last Header to be at the Polish festival which will be held at Gdynia-Kosakowo Airport in Gdynia from June 28th to July 1st. Well once you are packing your festival gear don’t forget your beach towel and your swimsuit, you are probably asking yourself, | Why do I need my beach towel and swimsuit if I am going to an airfield?| Well, the music starts until the late afternoon, which gives you time to rest at the hotel room, go for a walk or to happily enjoy a sun bath on the white Baltic beaches of Polish riviera. Hopefully it will be warm enough and let go the sad story of last year on the last day of festival, weather wasn’t the best but amazing security service from the organisers keeping the calm and explaining the situation very professionally. Another reason is the amazing vibes at the festival, Polish people are so friendly so for sure you will make some new friends and maybe a summer love at it. Local Bands are always a plus, maybe we don’t understand the lyrics if the song is in the original language but the beat and the atmosphere is what it is worthy, this year our recommendations are couple acts which we believe will be amazing, Catz’N Dogz, Brodka, Kukon, Kuban, so time to make polish friends and head to this performances.
We know is not easy to afford a festival weekend and on this times we are living now coming back of a pandemic break, an unfortunately war running, all this situation make our lifes a bit harder and complicated mentally and economically, we know it’s very hard, but the show must be continue and it’s just a weekend when we fulfill or minds with amazing vibes, we dance, we sing, we cry. Open’er festival is very affordable, prices aren’t that high if we compare them to UK festivals or Spanish ones, 210 Eur a Festival 4 day Pass, plus local food is amazing and a nice beer selection under the 3 Euros a Pint.
