Costa del sol, Malaga a place where we would love to live perfect weather, amazing food, sand, sea and 300 sunny days a year is one of the most popular European tourist destination in Spain, Costa del Sol is around 30 minutes driving from Malaga Airport is one of the most beautiful places in this Riviera at the east side of Spain, Costa del Sol host one of the best festivals in this 2023, CALA MIJAS festival in its second edition presents more than 70 Act’s, Indie, Alternative, Pop music and DJs, international names and local acts will give audiences a chance to enjoy live music in one of the Costa Del Sol’s most celebrated beachfront locations. Among them are some of the biggest bands of recent years like The Strokes, Arcade Fire, Foals, Idles, Metronomy, Amy and the Sniffers, also we have incredible musicians and singers like Florence and the Machine, Belle and Sebastian, Jose Gonzalez, Siouxie and DJ sets with old school PRO’S like Underworld, the Blaze, Moderat, M83. Cala Mijas will also showcase some of local and most exciting new talent, such as Cariño, Juicy Bae, Amaia Romero, Delaporte and many more.
We know is not easy to afford a festival weekend and on this times we are living now coming back of a pandemic break, an unfortunately war running, all this situation make our lifes a bit harder and complicated mentally and economically, we know it’s very hard, but the show must continue and it’s just a weekend when we fulfill or minds with amazing vibes, we dance, we sing, we cry. Cala Mijas festival is very affordable, prices aren’t that high if we compare them to UK festivals, 180 Eur a Festival 3 day Pass, plus local food is amazing and a nice beer selection under the 3 Euros a Pint.
It’s three days of music, three evenings of dancing, three mornings of enjoying the beach, three days full of joy with an excellent line up, food (we are in Spain, one of the greatest foods in the world). Arcade Fire, is a Canadian indie rock band from Montréal, Quebec, consisting of husband and wife Win Butler and Régine Chassagne Founded in 2001 by friends and classmates Butler and Josh Deu, the band came to prominence in 2004 with the release of their critically acclaimed debut album Funeral. Their second studio album, Neon Bible, won them the 2008 Meteor Music Award for Best International Album and the 2008 Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year. Their third studio album, The Suburbs, was released in 2010 to critical acclaim and commercial success. It received many accolades, including the 2011 Grammy for Album of the Year, the 2011 Juno Award for Album of the Year and the 2011 Brit Award for Best International Album. In 2013, Arcade Fire released their fourth album, Reflektor, and scored the feature film Her, for which band members Will Butler and Owen Pallett were nominated in the Best Original Score category at the 86th Academy Awards.
