Los Bitchos are a band based in London since 2017, A group of pure talented girls who put together their knowledge and skills based on music. Los Bitchos has a peculiar sound. We will talk about it eventually. With only one studio album and a new single released this 2023 and already experienced in big festivals and being the support band of | King Gizzard and the Lizard wizard | This 2023 and having been in the UK last year now is one of the most listened to bands, Latin Cumbia and the psychedelic sound of these girls is a very catchy tune. The group is made up of Serra Petale (guitar), Agustina Ruiz (keytar), Josefine Jonsson (bass) and Nic Crawshaw (drums), which as a curious fact , although they met in the British capital, they are all from different countries such as Uruguay, Sweden, Australia and of course, the United Kingdom. Which results in a unique proposal, lovely. It all started when Agustina met a girl under the name Carolina Faruolo having mutual friends. Both had previous experience with other projects in Uruguay, but this new group began to be in shape when Carolina invited Serra to collaborate with them, since these two had chemistry of being part of an instrumental cumbia group. Later, when they started to get serious about what they were doing, Josefine and Nic joined them.
What is more interesting about this group is that their songs are completely instrumental, you see these girls playing their instruments and each song it is transporting us to different eras or places, or it is what we felt last march when we had the chance to see them perform in Prague. The sound of the quartet of London is a mixture of cultures and different musical styles, which in addition to combining cumbia after, exploring and traveling through different genres such as psychedelia, 70’s rock or exotic surf makes this band very interesting. to be honest, we hadn’t heard something like this before, Bravo Chicas.
