The sixth edition of the Mad Cool Festival is getting closer to being. This time, the festival offers us a memorable line-up that places it as one of the most anticipated festivals of the season, competing to be the best line-up of the year in Spain, exceeding expectations of its previous editions.
This edition will take place from July 6th to 8th, with the news that the festival is moving to its new headquarters, the “Espacio Mad Cool”, in the community of Villaverde, a space that will give attendees greater comfort and will provide all the facilities that are needed for the event to be carried out successfully.
Among the bands that will headline the festival we find acts like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Robbie Williams, Mumford and Sons, Queens Of The Stone Age, Liam Gallagher, The Black Keys, The Prodigy, Sam Smith to name a few of them, three days full of music and since the musical banquet It is as wide and varied as a festival of this size demands we choose some acts you must have tick if you are planning to go to Madrid this beautiful and impact city.

THE BLACK KEYS, The American duo Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney are ready to return to the stages and this 2023 summer ready to road starting in Europe going to the UK to finally land in the United States, maybe more to be added. This is their 11th and latest album |Dropout Boogie|, and after the pandemic era finally the band got back on track and finally we have an European and Uk tour since 2015 when the band toured presenting |EL Camino (2011)| and |Turn Blue (2014)|. BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB, Back in 2020, when we were lockdown the English Rock Indie and after a 3 years pause or break if we have to call it like that, the Londoners announced couple gigs around Europe but unfortunately didn’t happened because of the Covid-19, that was on January 2020, but at the same time the band released their new album |Everything Else Has Gone Wrong| and this Tour was programmed from February, after all this and the long break we had because of the Pandemic era the band finally had a warmup concerts or they called it like that, 2021 finally came and some outdoor concerts could happen again, 2023 finally is here and summer is coming and the band started again to shine on those LineUps, we are very excited because finally we can see them again, and listen live their fifth album |Everything Else Has Gone Wrong|
THE DRIVE ERA, Rocky and Ross Lynch this American brothers having this new and renovated are beautiful project called The Diver Era, previously with knew them as R5 Band which were formed in LOS ANGELES, couple years later by an Instagram Live the brothers announced the new project, new name, new sound, new start and what a start, since 2018 and with 3 studio albums | X (2018) | GIRLFRIEND (2021) | SUMMER MIXTAPE (2022)|. The California band worked a lot during the covid times, it helped many of us to star doing what we loved, what we like and yes put it on practice, the IndiePop is not dead, and since 2021 more and more are joining this gender if we can call it like this, so Drive Era is a must this MadCool Edition.
The Amazons, The British band formed in 2014 and jumping really quick to be one of the modern and popular band among the Indie listeners with songs which they sticked in our playlists and really quick moving on the songs most listened list, this 2023 with its third studio Album |How Will I Know If Heaven Will Find Me? (2022)| is back being as a solid band on those Festival Line Ups this year. Having shows in Europe, UK and in the United states, The Amazons finally is one of those bands to perform before the main headers, their first album a self-title album probably is the most likely in their fans but wait, we haven’t seeing this guys and its new one. thats why is a must this MadCool festival, one of the best European festivals this 2023, I don’t know if this is the best way to sell to The Amazons, but what I am sure of is that once you hear it, surely want to hear more and more.

Like other festivals, MAD COOL also has their own contest and this year isn’t the exception we will have emerging band performing professionally at the festival since once again Mad Cool Talent will return, a contest that sought out the best of emerging talent from different artistic disciplines and this year’s focus will be on the music and different arts, it will also be possible to witness the winning bands of Mad Cool Talent, those who fulfilled their dream of being part of the festival line-up.
